Thanks to bobkart I now know if I want to record 360 game footage while playing on a HD signal I need a HD down converter. The minimum damage a HD down converter will do to your wallet is about $500.00. I am sure for most of us who just want to record games for hobby/fun. That is a bit steep. With the HAVA Pro HD link:http://www.snappymultimedia.com/products_specification_hd_pro.htm (basically a slingbox) Footage has been recorded from PS3. And he was using the $129.00 HAVA Gold HD model.

The main reason I am interested in the HAVA pro HD is it actually has component connections on the box. The gold HD model is using CAMCORDER / IPOD A/V CABLE and mapping the colors for RGB. I don't want to fool with all that.

So it is a given to say I am interested. The kicker here is that the HAVA connects to your PC via Ethernet. SO my main concern would be how would this effect online gameplay? I am sure you will be sending a lot of data over your network from the HAVA box through router to the PC for recording. Is this going to cause latency issues? Most games I would record would be online games.

If anyone can shed some light on this or the product I would love to hear it.
