Everytime I want to open an existing file in Photoshop CS in order for me to find the last project I have been working on I have to right click---->Arrange Icons---> then choose Modified. The problem is that it never remembers this. It always resorts back to Alphabetical order? So the next time I want to open that project I have to do the whole RC--AI--M process all over again. What I would really like to do if at all possible is to have the open file "box" appear as thumbnails and arranged as modified.....Any know if this is possilbe?

    hi,
I have PS cs .... maybe I am looking in the wrong place but in PS I don't see that path that you mentioned..

now what I do in photoshop cs
i go to file>browse>(folder or choice)>sort ... there you can choose how you want things sorted... and at least on mine it remembers how i want things sorted..

as far as thumbnails instead of going to the sort menu go to the view menu and pick thumbnails.

Click File, then is says: New, Open (Ctrl+O) I was wondering if it was possible to set thet to thumbnails and arrange by modified and to have PS remember that setting?

    hi,
It almost sounds like your using windows explorer..... instead of PS ...
if you use windows xplorer to set thing up.... PS won't neccessary see that setup whenyou open your folder under photoshop....

PS CS .. if you go to file>browse (shift+ctrl+O) , you get a windows and when you open up your folder there clicking "sort" you can arrange file you want in that folder... and then go to the view menu and pick the view you want in your case you want thumbnails... now it will remember your seeting when ever you go back to browse and all you need to just double click on the icon and the picture is displayed..

using the browse meathod I think is best.... is there some reason you can't use browse?

oh i forgot to add.. for hi interest project you can add a "flag" just hilight the picture and click flag button above

No reason for not using the browse. I just always used the File---> Open process.

I just checked the browse way, and that will do.

Just out of pure curiousity now. Would it be possible to set the File-->Open process to remember view as thumbnail and arrange by modified? If so how?
