I was going to just append onto my other post but thought the subject was different.
While I'm trying to find a suitable TV Tuner for Vista MCE I was again was wondering about my 7800GT with VIVO. Since I don't actually use the tuner and just control a satellite with the ir controllers could I use the 7800GT for that? My thinking is that MCE will be stubborn and not allow any TV setup without a "hardware TV Tuner" even though it won't be used. My BFG 7800GT has both HD out cables and VIVO cabling.
Again, whether there are actual Vista drivers for the VIVO is a whole other story.
If MCE was able to just let me select satellite and S-Video input I theoretically could avoid the need of an obsolete analog tv tuner.
Thank you for your time.
