I previously purchased a copy of AnyDVD HD edition, which allows me to rip my HD-DVDs to my HD. However, I'm having a hard time stomaching with the 25GB ripped sizes, and am looking to compress these down to make it more feasible to rip my entire HD DVD collection. My goal is to have anytime access to my HD-DVD collection from my Media center.
I've seen the guide to ripping and encoding HD-DVDs here, but I'm looking for a simpler way that has less manual intervention. I don't care if I have to pay for tools (I've already purchased AnyDVD).
Not sure if encoding/compressing with x264 is the best way to go, so open to all suggetsions. The encoder I use can't block my ability to play them within my media center.
Is there something that is more automated than what's described in the guide?
