Recent problems burning DVDs

I have burned several DVD's using DVDFab Decrypter and DVD Shrink successfully. I recently upgraded my Nero Program to Nero Essentials, and now I keep getting error message that DVD burn has failed. I can successfully rip the DVD's to file, and then re-encode using either DVD Shrink or Nero Recode, but when it starts the burn process, I get error message and no burn.
I don't know where to go from here. Is it bad media?, or something else.

If you are using Nero to automatically burn with DVD Shrink, newer versions of Nero won't work. You still can burn it by using 'DVD-Video' mode in Nero Burning ROM and drop the contents of your VIDEO_TS folder into the Nero VIDEO_TS folder.

Instead, use ImgBurn. You can use the 'Build' mode to burn the VIDEO_TS folder to DVD. Or use a version of DVD Shrink that can burn with ImgBurn automatically: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?t=63869

If ImgBurn doesn't work, then you might consider trying other media.
