    Hi, I want to know how to apply fadein and fadeout effects to a finished mpeg file which I discovered was some minutes too long and will look nice with such effects.

    I also don't want to go trough the whole encoding thing again.

    Don't think you can do it without encoding again. Of course I could be wrong...
