Believe it or not I just went five days without using the internet (or either of my home computers!).

Yep last sunday I was online all afternoon just surfing aimlessly. I decided I kinda overdosed on it and wanted to try to break the cycle. So I set out to see how many days I could go without going online. I haven't been online since last Sunday! I didn't think I had that much self control

But it actually freed up a lot of time. I usually surf about a half hour at least every night (or every other night). I got to do more things like play some WII games I haven't picked up in awhile and watched some more movies I've had sitting around.

Now that I now I have the will power to step away I think I'm going to try to cut back to every other day during the week. Going on every night is just too much time spending checking email and stuff. It's amazing how much more tv you can fit in when you're not surfing

From one aimless preoccupation to another. See how long you can go without using an electric entertainment device.

Umm.... no I can't go that far coalman

Well actually I could - I do have a lot of Star Trek and Star Wars books I haven't been reading.

And I'm trying to learn the guitar again after taking a year and a half off

    ----

But I am doing workouts every other day or so for 20-30 minutes on average so it's not just tv

Besides TV is more pure than internet surfing

Why not surf and watch TV at the same time? Be a multitasker...
