I've been trying to play DVD movies on the DVD drive of my Toshiba 2715XDVD Laptop, with Windows 2000 on it. It was recently reformatted a few months back and this is the first time since that I am trying to play a DVD on it. I get this message with whatever DVD I try and whatever program I use (Windows Media Player, Media Player Classic, or InterActual Player) saying that a valid DVD Decoder could not be found.
What do I do?
Thanks in advance

You should have a MPEG-2 decoder if you have MPC installed. Windows doesn't come with one. I would get rid of Interactual Player. It's like a virus, likes to take over and is hard to kill or remove.
For DVDs, try VLC Media Player. Just click on the VIDEO_TS folder and it will play them, complete with menus, etc. It's also handy to keep around for odd video formats. No installed codecs necessary.
