Hi All
Can i ask a question please![]()
I recentley purchased DvD player with the abilty to upscale to Hdmi TV and also play Divx/Xvid Movies.
I have 3 movies in Divx/Xvid Format but when i play them through my 32 WLT66 Toshiba Lcd TV the PQ isnt as good as i expected.
I am unsure if this is because Lcd TV, or the player or the movies themselves.
When i play normally dvd movies rented or purchased the PQ is sublime.
I am curious are Divx/Xvid movies lesser in PQ than normal dvd's?
Regards
Clint

Depends on the skill of the person/people making them and the source that they use to create the video.Originally Posted by ClintEastwood

Tell us how you made these Divx/Xvid movies and then we can comment. DVD content as said is hand crafted. After that average VBR bit rate is 5-7Mb/s to fit into 8GB. Even so these are still standard def. Are you saying your Divx/Xvid files are greater than 4GB per movie?Originally Posted by ClintEastwood

No Eddv they are like 750mb per movie.
P.s. I didnt make them someone else did. Not sure what they used.Poor is the man whoose pleasure depends on the permission off another -
The best MPeg4 would match commercial MPeg2 at half the bitrate. Your file is about 25% of that (3000Mb/s). If you convert MPeg4 to MPeg2, you lose more quality.Originally Posted by ClintEastwood
