    Whenever I try to open up an AVI movie on my new computer, windows finds an error and this is the error.


    AppName: wmplayer.exe AppVer: 11.0.5721.5145 ModName: xvid.dll
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 0005007c

    Tried uninstalling DivX and it still happens..can't seem to open any movies and it's totally a bummer. Any help would be appreciated...and FYI I am not a novice by any means with computers.

    I just found out that it's a problem with Windows trying to create a thumbnail of the video and causes it to crash
