  1. I'm using Windows Media Center to record a tv series.
Then i use dvrmstoolbox to export to mpg
Then I open that mpg with DGIndex and create a d2v file and a wav file for the audio
Then I create an avisynth script to decimate the framerate, making it go from 60fps (what it broadcasts as) to 24fps (what it's filmed at)
Then I load the avs script in vdub and add in the audio stream and use vdub to convert to avi

the end result is giving me horrible audio sync issues, which were not present in previous episodes, but are now present in this week's episode. I can't seem to find a fix for this. I've tried finding the exact amount of time it's off sync by, and adjusting accordingly, but it seems to still get off sync by the end of the file. i tried adjusting the audio file to match the length of the video file (similarly to how one would convert pal to ntsc or vice versa), and that didn't work. it seems like it's broken no matter what i do.
the original dvrms file, when played in media center, or media player, plays flawlessly with no audio sync issues at all.

    Any ideas?

Pretty impossible to say why, unless something changed in your environment. Did you upgrade DGindex or TIVTC ?

Other than reception glitches, the thing that really messes up A/V sync is when the audio goes from 5.1 to 2.0 and back to 5.1, which also messes with the .AC3 bitrate.

There are a ton of different things to try - the easiest by far is to download a 2 week trial of VideoRedo and fix the file. I believe VideoRedo even works on DVR-MS files (not sure) in which case you can cut out the commercials and save to nicely synced mpeg.
