I am preparing to burn a Sony DVD+R DL (7.85 GB ISO) with DVD Decrypter. Just wanted to know if changing the Book Type to DVD-ROM make the disc more compatible with DVD Players, or can changing the Book Type ruin the DVD. Under the LITE-ON tab (which is the burner I am using) which option should I use (1)Drive (For DVD+R/DVD+R DL Media) or (2)Drive (For DVD+R/DVD+R DL Media - EEPROM!).

In theory it may make it play in players that otherwise would not recognise DL discs.

Personally, I would burn with Imgburn though. It has improved somewhat since it was DVD Decrypter.

When I try to use ImgBurn I get a error message (something about not being able to properly insert a layer break). Maybe because it is an episodic DVD?

If it can't insert a layer break, chances are you will not get a good burn anyway.

Did you rip this disc, or create it yourself ?

If you ripped it with DVD Decrypter, try loading the MDS file it created, instead of the ISO, into Imgburn.
