I'm looking for a new "travel" laptop. The MacBook 13.3" looks interesting as I want to test macos and you can also install vista on it...but I guess I will just remote desktoping to my desktop computer if I want to use windows.
It's a bit heavy though, 2.36kg compared to my 1.6kg acer travelmate....but it has a bigger screen 13.3" compared to 12".
I prefer a black Macbook and I thinking of a MacBook Core 2 Duo 2.0ghz 1GB RAM 120HDD

I'm a bit worried about heat and noise....
Have you tested it? or do you own one?

I use a mac book like the image above for loads of things, its incredibly stable, it does generate some heat and fan noise when its processing video. its nothing too much altho the fan can sometimes whir like a writing drive! it does get warm during heavy tasks, but it has not caused me any comcern yet
its rock solid, i run cubase 4 dvd studio pro audacity and ffmpegX and toast 6.
the only problem i have had with video is using ffmpegx to convert .rm movies. it does convert them but toast doesnt like the converts much and usually causes toast to crash.
other than that I highly reccommend these laptops, we have 5 in service at work also...using the same software plus modul8 FCP and isadora.
