I am becoming increasingly frustrated. I am new to video and accidently recorded something in HD. So here is my problem. The file is 190 MB, 2:54 in time, and an mpeg file. How can I get it to be less than 100 MB? I tried Rejig but it created some bizarre file that had no sound. Sound is imperative, as it's a music video. Any suggestions? I'd appreciate any help I can get! Thank you!!!

You might want to drop it into Gspot and see how big the individual audio and video tracks are. If you don't want to make the audio lower quality, don't change it. Just re-encode the video. There are many encoders available for MPEG format in our 'Tools' section. Even a few freeware ones.
And welcome to our forums. -
Betcha your audio is uncompressed wav . Yeah, that'll sound pretty good, but your file is going to be big as a result.
100MB is your size limit - yes ? Uploading to a "Youtube" type of site, I'm guessing. In that case, give them a DivX file - you can use the excellent (and incredibly easy) AutoGK app for that. It'll convert your mpg to AVI quite nicely. -
Soopafresh, you are my hero! I downloaded AutoGK and it was perfect! Now the video is the right size, the right file, and I can upload it anywhere! Thank you SO much!
