guns1inger, thanks for helpin me! (again hhh).
i think you'll need to explain it to me really slow...
i added a chapter playlist:
what should i do now?
how can i define loop?
i've also double-clicked it:
i could'nt find any chapter loop option...
ThanX! -
How do you want your DVD to play?
Have a "Play All" where the entire timeline plays through. And then have menu buttons that will play a single chapter, and then repeatedly loop that chapter?
If you put ONE chapter in a Chapter Playlist, you can then set that Chapter Playlist to call itself at the end (looping). You would setup separate Chapter Playlists for each Chapter.

GeorgeW, thanks for the help man.
i want to pick a chapter from the chapters menu and then it'll repeatedly loop itself, should i put a Chapter Playlist to each chapter to do so?
and how can i define each Chapter Playlist to repeat itselt instead of going back to ROOT menu?
*edit*
okay - i manged making a loop playback but - is it suppose to be like this?
Thanks again! -
Yes, add a Chapter Playlist with just a single Chapter in it. Then in the connection window, use the "Connection" tool to draw from the right-side of the object (Branchx) to itself.
There also might be pulldown on the bottom of the connection window that has END ACTION (I'm away from my editing machine at the moment). You can set the END to go to itself (if available).

GeorgeW, okay, Thanx man!!!
guns1inger, the reason i want to do it is that this video was taken from a video camera cassettes, and it's not a sequential video...
it's about 12-14 video segments with a little pause after each segment and without any relation between one to each other...
so i have no interest that after playback of one chapter - it'll go on and play the next chapter when it has no relation with the previous chapter...
why are you askin? do you have a better solution?
i'll be glad to here... -
Just the idea of dropping into an endless loop seemed odd. Using chapter play lists you can just as easily return to the main menu, and also offer choices to play back groups of clips in any order you choose. Simply going to a single clip and them looping until the menu button is pressed seemed odd.
Read my blog here.

I would agree with guns1inger.
You can play chapter, at the end return to menu and highlight button for next chapter to play.
On top your first window showing connections was OK, only each button has to have one chapter in the list.
In second window, each branch has to have only one chapter in it, the way it show all chapters are in one branch.
End connection from VTS chapter menu should not go anywhere.
If you press Menu on remount you will end up in ROOT menu. -

ThanX Again MAN!!! -
Click on Branch, the window will come up, than ADD chapter one only, next branch add chapter two only and so on. Button connection will go to Branch.
What is in your ROOT menu, is it a short clip or whole movie?
It will play as soon as you insert DVD in the player.
Your connection should be Root ,end to VTS chapter menu.
Than clip in root will play and at the end go to chapter menu for your selection. -

Your Root is connected to movie. Do you have buttons in the root to connect to movie and chapter menu?
What I would do.
Make introductory clip and put that in root menu, end connection from root menu go to chapter menu.
Rest looks OK. -

There is other way to do this.
Split your movie into clips (short movies now your chapters), that way you can use fades in editor to start and end each one.
Other thing, make sure you assign remount Menu button to second menu.
Open connection window and click on root menu. On the bottom of the connection window there is a place to assign menu buttons function, chose menu2. -
The nice thing with DLP -- often times there are alternative methods to accomplish the same thing
That said, if you NEVER need to watch the entire video Title from start to finish, then at each chapter point, rt-click/Splice Point. You won't have to add Chapter Playlists for each chapter.
NOTE: hitting NEXT on the remote control will jump to the next Chapter, but watching in normal playback (not hitting NEXT) should finish the Chapter, jump to the END of that Title, and execute the END action (which you should setup to go back to your Chapter Menu).

George
