    I recently downloaded ffmpeg from http://ffdshow.faireal.net/mirror/ffmpeg/ffmpeg.rev8435.7z
    How do I use it do any video conversion.
    WHICH command prompt to use???
    Most websites give commands like
    ffmpeg -i /inputfilenameWithAddress.extension /outputfilenameWithaddress.extension
    but the forward slash does not work in Windows Command Prompt.
    Please help

    That's a big question. I'd suggest you start with downloading BackgroundCMD, which will give you a command prompt in any folder you navigate to - just by right clicking.

    You don't need to use \ or / too much with ffmpeg. Most windows prompts use \ , as in

    c:\windows\system32 to point to that folder on the hard drive.

    Of course, there are also a number of GUI interfaces for ffmpeg, if the command-line interface seems intimidating. One such GUI is WinFF, and others can be found in the Tools section to the left.
    If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?
