  2. Short of using a full blown video editor like premiere or vegas, you're in for a rough ride. One you have the FAT32 single file size limit of 4GB (use NTFS to counter), two AVI files have a 2GB limit so you can't do an intermediate conversion to keep the quality (premiere can with its proprietary intermediate format). And three the resulting 8GB file would be troublesome to playback, as many CODECs can't handle very large files properly (converting to XVID should avoid that).

One way to keep it simple, if you can playback the 4GB files now, use Nerovision or one of Uleads DVD authoring programs and create a DVD. The video will be chopped into 1GB files, but it will play anywhere and play as on piece.

Same process for PS or TS files, just choose the appropriate output for your file type.

Do not use Nerovision if quality is of any importance to you.

ts files can be handled by HDTV2DVD or HDTV2MPG. You can merge them and convert them to DVD.

As for the avi files - what are they ? AVI is a container format, with the content defined by the codecs used. Depending on what they are, may determine the best tool. For most Divx/Xvid etc type avi files I find AVIDemux to be pretty good.
