Hi, I replaced nero with Imgburn and my movies are playing great but the images won't play in my player in my car, is there a good software that i can use on avi or mpeg, the problem i was having with nero was that the movie played perfect on the computer but when i burned it to the disc the sound was behind or ahead of the movie, so i want to burn some movies for my car, thx

If you want to convert avi files to DVD, try ConvertXtoDVD. It's not free, but it is the most reliable of the one-click-wonders. Burn the results with Imgburn.

If you are just burning the video, there would be no change in the sync. Nero tends to want to re-encode about anything you put into it, DVD compliant or not. That's why many suggest ImgBurn. If ImgBurn doesn't work, then it's likely your video was encoded or authored wrong in the first place.

Nero may be trying to fix it, which it doesn't do well and it was able to create a playable disc for your car, but it had a problem with the audio sync.

This is assuming that the same media works properly in your car player. Media problems are the most common cause of videos not playing.

You might mention the brand and model of your car player and what media you are using and what programs and steps you are using to create the DVD.

i have a panasonic fold down in my car, when i was burning as mpeg or avi they would play in the car but since i've burned them using imgburn it don't recognize the disc so i'm assuming it on plays avi or mpeg in the car so the movies plays great with no fault using imgburn so i want to see if i can burn the same disc as an mpeg or avi without it acting up again
