I have been fooling around with dvdremake trying to edit a series dvd, and have found that it really isn't as easy as I thought it would be. I was planning on taking out extras, trailers, audio, un-needed menus, etc. I found it hard to get a functioning dvd from dvdremake for a series dvd. I did get it to work fine with a regular movie dvd (kept original menu, deleted, extras, blah, blah....)

So I have no decided that I don't care about editing the entire dvd, I am no just looking for the dvd to go directly to the main menu when inserted in the dvd player. Will ripit4me do that? And also, if I already have the entire dvd already on the pc, will ripit4me work on those fiels, or would I have to rerip the original?

    No.
If you want to use RipIt4Me, you'll have to start from the beginning. The job of RipIt4Me is to get the files to your hard drive. After that, any editing has to be done with another program.

It is easy with DVDRemake if you don't delete unwanted material (in this case you'd have to manually adjust navigation) but use 'hide' option instead. The hidden blocks are reduced to symbolic size and bypassed so that you e.g. go to main menu skipping the first play item with FBI warning etc. It always works.

So if I use ripit4me to have it jump to menu. Then just burn to dvd. It would automatically start at the menu?

I will say it is easy when doing a normal dvd, but have you tried using it for a series dvd. There is just so much going on, I get confused.

Make sure you check the proper options when using RipIt4Me.

Well holy crap! Just saw that you can choose to rip menu and movie? Anyone try it with a series dvd? Does it give the menu plus 4 episodes? or just 1 long movie?

    Under v1.7.0.0 changelog of RipIt4Me:
    Code:
If the DVD is episodic with episodes in different VTSs and the user selects "movie only" or "movie+menus", Step 1 offers to switch back to "Full DVD" when the user presses OK.
So check if your DVD falls into this case. If it is not, then great, RipIt4Me will add appropriate commands and blank every VTS, except the main one, to bypass everything and jump to the first menu it encounters.

If it is, then choose "Full DVD". In this case, it will not skip anything before the main menu. Using DVDReMake, you can hide the blocks (warnings, previews, etc.) that you don't want. Make sure the "Auto bypass" is checked under Tools -> Options menu. It is that simple. It should jump to the main menu if you hide everything that leads to that menu.
