    Sorry if this has been asked before:

    Is it possible (and how) to re-encode the audio track(s) of an AVI file (xvid or divx) without re-encoding the video, using Mac OS X?

    The problem is my DVD player seems to choke on VBR.

    You can do this with D-Vision (Tools->Re-encoding .avi and .mpg->Encoding->Re-encoding only an audio track)
