I am trying to render files to this specification. (for youtube)
Video - 320x240 30fps XviD mpeg4
Audio - Lame mp3 128kbps
total size 100mb (95-100mb is ok)
I have many video editing programs (vegas, premiere, pinnacle) and I am getting errors saying "an error occurred while opening a codec". I can render to XviD without lame just fine, its when I try to use lame mp3 that I get problems. I have have tried on several systems. Also I have been somewhat successful with AutoGK but I am trying to make the target size 100mb and its seems with AutoGK that if I set the dimensions lower than 720x480 I get much smaller files like 1/3 smaller.
Any advice or help..?

Yes, set AutoGK up for a 1-pass Target Quality encode at the default 75%. Then in the Advanced Settings, set the width for 320 and the audio for whatever you like. You're likely to get a size less much than 100 MB, but the quality will be just about as good as it gets for that size, length, and compressibility. There's no reason for you to insist on a 100 MB file size anyway, not at that low resolution. So what if it's 25 MB or 50 MB? The YouTube people are just going to ruin it anyway. Also I have been somewhat successful with AutoGK but I am trying to make the target size 100mb and its seems with AutoGK that if I set the dimensions lower than 720x480 I get much smaller files like 1/3 smaller.
