A dumb question must surely find a quick answer.
I encode an MPEG-2 file in TMPGEnc 2.5 in 16:9, when loaded into TMPGEnc DVDAuthor it is magically 4:3, burns as 4:3 as well.
Tried to change the header info with IfoEdit as well, but that screwed other things up, some funny flickering, although the aspect ratio was then correct.
Anyone aware of this bug and how to fix it?
Thanks,
Chipsndukes

I think I found my own problem--just proof that every time you load a new source video in TMPGEnc, you should reload the template. This especially applies when you are doing large batches!
Anyhow, it appears the TMPGEnc got set to MPEG-1 when encoding this movie. Don't ask me how, again, what I said above, but I'll reencode MPEG-2, one night wasted, and see how it turns out.
Sorry to be a bother to everyone, thanks for the consideration of this great community, will let you know if in fact the prob. was solved.
