I know that a .3g2 video to mpeg file (352 x 240 pixels) would look pixelated.

I want to place a background ground in the video and place the .3g2 in the middle of the screen.
I dont want to use a black or a colored background. I would like to use a motion background.

    Can anybody recommend a few?

3g2 and phones are something i , know something about

don't convert to mpeg, convert to avi, where you can almost any res you want

you can maintain the source res of 176*144,

most 3g2 video comes from camera phones at 1/4 CIF ( QCIF ) which is 176*144

I would convert to avi with Xvid codec,

what output format to use depends on what you want to do with the output,

email to friends, upload to you tube etc

if your sending it to youtube, then use the best xvid conversion you can at 320*240 keeping the same frame rate as the source
