i am capturing on movie maker , mean wmv

Hi please help me guys , I have a capture card installed on my PC , which runs a software called ezview , and chipset on it is something called conxeant….I hope u guys have the idea
Also help me with this , I am capturing through satellite rec , its movies , I am using windows movie maker to capture video , because , (what I understand ) , I can capture a 5 hour video in 1GB , irrespective of the quality , isn’t that great guys , or is there any other which is good for capturing ????

I wanted to make a DVD player compatible DVD , but I think data DVD can contain loads of data , without the prob and time consuming conversion process , so I am working on data DVD.

So guys when I capture a clip through windows movie maker , it takes ages for me to split and join the file which I made through movie maker.

So guys is there any other software through which I can do this.

What capture card you have? I use Hauppauge 150 PVR and use GBpvr SW to capture, then I use DVDFlick to convert to DVD...

i have the card with the chip conexant 23880 video capture pal, do u know any good softwrae to capture , to make a data dvd for long hours on dvd.
