Which is the preferred mode to burn a normal cd in Nero, Mode1 or Mode2/XA?

What exactly do you mean "normal"?
Mode 1 checks for errors and is recommended for data.
Mode 2 allows ~80MB more storage and is used on Audio,CD-Extra and VCD. -
What I meant was that when Nero opens, it comes up in ISO on the left column. On the right-hand side are several tabs, one of which is labeled ISO. Here you can choose Mode 1 or Mode 2/XA.
I was wondering which is the mode most recommended.
