Hello, I'm new here and am admittedly quite ignorant on the subject at hand. I have a Panasonic RV32 that seems to not like DVD-Rs. I have tried dozens of them in this player, and while most play, they almost inevitably have glitches, momentary freezes, etc. The problem is less prevalent with +r media but still present. Of all the burned discs I have ever received, whether via trade or purchase, the only DVDrs to play through perfectly without a hitch are a set of unbranded dvd-rs that came from a collector in England.
Now, I have done research on this very problem and get mixed answers. Some swear by the brand of media used, whiles others blame the playing unit. Which brings me to the incompatibility issue....some brands work with some brands and visa versa. It drives me mad. I attempted to use your compatibility chart to find the most dvdr-friendly player, but it seems that none are foolproof. This leads me to my two questions:
Is there an affordable DVD player (currently available in stores!) that is less "picky" with burned discs? It seems that no matter how high they are rated on your site, ALL players have the occasional issue reading discs. I'm just looking for a common player that is more often than not reliable.
And lastly, can a burned disc be copied (with a program such as Decrypter) to a new disc and come out with less errors and more reliability the second time? Seems impossible but I need to know. Maybe some of my error-ridden discs, made by others, can be "fixed"?
Please forgive me if these questions seem juvenile, but I know of no better place to ask them then on this site.
Thank you in advance,
john

1. yes, im sure someone can recommend a more forgiving player....
2. yes, if you get a good read on the pc, and do a good burn on better media, it is entirely possible. (provided these are in fact simply 'read errors')I am just a worthless liar,
I am just an imbecil
