Hello, im using MAGIX, im basicly a beginer messing around with video editing. i thought id try for fun to get all the CGI's from the Final Fantasy 7, 8, 9 games onto my computer for expmermenting around. I'm not looking for perfection, but somthing that still looks good.

Anyway, most of the stuff on MAGIX is over my head, and the instruction manuel is kinda quriky, but ive gotten what I want out of it excpect for a couple little quirks that are really annoying.

First when i play the orignal capture of whatever CGI i have it allways runs smooth, but if i try to export it no matter what format or video player i use to play it, the screen jiggles up and down, not badly, but like one or 2 pixle spaces. sometimes its just at the begining and then it levels out, sometimes it lasts for the whole video.

2nd.i think i figured this one out by trial and error, (interlacing i think it was called) my exports when the CGI chars were moving or doing somthing fast they would split of into bars.

If anyone could help me with the screen jiggles though id really appreaiate it, my Harddrive is starting to get packed, I'd really like to be able to complete some of these projects and clear some space.

    Tks

How are you aquiring these, through a capture card and if so which one? Ripping them off a disc?

What you describe is most likely a field order issue caused either by switching them or through improper resizing of interlaced material.

no, not ripping. wasn't even sure i COULD rip them. data goes out of the A/V cables into the capture card in the computer and i hit the record button on the computer. oh sorry for not listing the computer profile, i figured since there was a list when i regerster for the board people would just look at that. WinTV.
