I have a Samsung DVD-R130 and I've been trying to record programs from a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8000 DVR (Brighthouse Cable). The recordings all have strange white flickering dashes along the top of the image--they show up in the chapter thumbnails in the DVD recorder, but aren't there when you play the video from the Samsung on a TV. When I place the disk in my computer, they appear during the entire playback using any media player.
Also, when I play back these recordings on the Samsung, the audio is out of sync. However, the audio is not out of sync when I play the same disc on my computer.
Anyone know what's going on here?
