  1. I want to put some video on our company website, but the file is too large! The original format of my video file is AVI, I want to know what kind of format is the smallest, and the quality is ok.
    P.S.
    The video file will be put in a flash at first.

    For internet use, WMV or MPEG-1 are the most universal and can be made fairly compact. Smallest may not be playable on all computers unless they have the proper player or codec.

    MPEG1 is the most compatipble but WMV will give you roughly 1/4 the file size at the same quality.

    You can encode WMV with Windows Movie Maker or for more options WME. Final file size is relevant to the bitrate you pick.
