I want to put some video on our company website, but the file is too large! The original format of my video file is AVI, I want to know what kind of format is the smallest, and the quality is ok.
P.S.
The video file will be put in a flash at first.
Thank you very much!

For internet use, WMV or MPEG-1 are the most universal and can be made fairly compact. Smallest may not be playable on all computers unless they have the proper player or codec.

if going into a flash format - use FLV

MPEG1 is the most compatipble but WMV will give you roughly 1/4 the file size at the same quality.
You can encode WMV with Windows Movie Maker or for more options WME. Final file size is relevant to the bitrate you pick.
