VCD will play on computer not DVD player?

I have burned VCD's (ez 5.0 platinum, Windows ME)that play on my computer when associated with windows media player but they will not play on my DVD player (Sony DVDPS 560D) took the disks to a store and tried to play on other DVD player with no luck. Called Roxio and there "support" said if it plays on the Computer it should play on player. Need Help badly PLEASE

It seems that your DVD Player Unit only accept "Silver Layer" brand for CD-R and "All Layer" brand for CD-RW as informed in DVD Player list. It plays VCD.
If you want to know the list what about all your DVD Player Unit play, go to the left side of this page click "DVD Players" and make your consult OR TYPE:

I HAVE THE SAME DVD PLAYER AS YOU THE ONLY 2 BRANDS OF MEDIA i HAVE FOUND TO WORK ARE THE MEMOREX PLATINUM RW WHICH I PREFFER AND THE SILVER LAYER PRINKO'S THERE THE CHEAP ONES FROM COMP USA ONLY 50 PACKS NOT THE 100 PACKS THEY ARE A DIFFERENT BRAND BUT I WOULD STAY WITH THE MEMOREX, THE PRINKOS HAVE PROBLEMS WHEN YOU GO TO COPY THEM AND WHEN YOU PLAY THEM IT SOUNDS LIKE THE DVD PLAYER IS WORKING REALLY HARD.

The verbatim datalifeplus highspeed (4x-10x) CD-RW will play on the Sony S560D. Only other one I've tried is Fujifilm CD-RW. Doesn't work. The verbatims are hard to find. I'll have to look for the memorex ones!
