I have poured over the different threads on here looking for answers to my questions, but don't seem to be able to find anything like what I am experiencing. The last thing I want to do, is come on and ask without looking first, but I think I have gotten to the point where I need help. Hopefully my question is very easy, and I am just over looking it.
I follwed the direction on the how to page of ffmpegx, and dropped my .avi file in the from box and then selected DVD mpeg2enc so it will output what I hope to be the video TS file. when I click on Encode, the progress box pops up, and takes all of about 5 seconds and then there is a ding sound. What I need to know is, is that truly how long it takes to encode? and where is it putting the Video TS file? Under Save As, I pick where I think I want it to go, but when I go there, there is nothing there. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm new to doing this on the Mac. I used to do it all the time on my PC, but just need a nudge in the right direction. Thanks in advance. Here is what it looks like, if this helps.

I can't say that I know why ffmpegX is giving you this trouble, but it could be that the mpeg2enc component is not properly installed. I would try the ffmpeg component. Click the arrow beside the To "DVD" and select "DVD ffmpeg" as your encoder.

Artemis>> Thank you very much. I tried that, and it is currently encoding at what I think is a more appropriate speed. Now to the other part of the question. Where does it put the Video TS file? Does it get put where it says Save As...? I will let you know how this works when it id done encoding. Thanks for your help.

Yes, I believe the VIDEO_TS folder will be in the location of the Save As.
