Hi All
I just purchased a Toshiba D-R5 yesterday (after trying and returning a Phillips 3400 and a Samsung 155). I am very happy with the picture quality but whatever I try to record I get an unauthorized to record. I have tried a PPV Movie (which was understandable) but I also got it when just trying basketball and also Friends straight from the TV. I am starting to wonder what I can actually record from the TV if anything at all. If anyone knows of a workaround I would be grateful or if its a known thing and it is just gonna get worse from here please say as I will return it tomorrow before I go out of town. If the later is the case I am looking for recommendations for a good DVD Recorder which has to play Div X files.
Oh Yeah. I am using RCA cables and my conectivity is DishNet to TiVo to DVD-Recorder. I have the capability of using S-Video and also by-passing the TiVo box if anyone thinks that is the issue.
Thanks in advance
Coops

to by-pass the anti-copy signal you can purchase a Time-Based Corrector (TBC) or a Video Corrector (like the Sima CT-2) which are less expensive.
