Hi there,
When I compress my movies with MeGUI I ususally compress the video stream into .mp4 and put it (and the audio stream) in a .mkv container. Earlier today I switched and put my .mp4 movie and audio stream in a mp4 container and I noticed that when I play it on Media Player Classic that when I advance the movie using the seek bar that there is a delay before it starts playing again. This doesn't happen with a .mp4 video stream in a .mkv container. Does anyone else have this problem?

Have you tried the latest haali media splitter? It should work together with mpc if you disable its internal mp4 splitter.
And mp4 is not any video format, it's a container. I guess you are using x264 video...or? -
Thanks Baldrick
I should have clarified, when I compress a video using MeGUI I compress the raw video stream to a mp4 container first, then I mux the audio and video into a MKV container. I'm not sure if this is good practice or not but I like the smooth seek bar behavior of the MKV container.
I did as you suggested and tried Haali media splitter and it seems to work better. I also noticed that it also disables MPCs internal MKV splitter. I didn't mean to do this when I installed it. How do I undo this?
