    I was wondering if anyone could help me. Ive been trying to rip these dvds. Ive followed the ripping guide and everything. But once it comes out to the finish problem the movie doesnt play. All it does is have a black screen. Im using Smart Ripper, DVD2AVI, and TMPGEnc to encode. Well if anyone could help me find the problem I would really appreciate it, thanks

    are you encoding them to VCD or SVCD...if you encoded them to SVCD, u need to install the mpeg2 codec. the best and easiest way is to either install powerDVD or winDVD. then media player will be able to play your pre-burned mpeg2 files.

    Im encoding to VCD. Not SVCD. But maybe that could be whats wrong to. Not really sure. Ill try anything basically though. Have any idea were I can get the MPEG2 codec?
