MY understanding is that on all TVs less than six years old the US NTSC all region DVD will play fine on a UK DVD multi region or not for anything other than a an expert (something to do with frame speed).
Is this correct?
IS it possible to be more accurate as regards which TVs will not play properly with
I have seen lots of posts partially answering this but none completely

Hi Larry,
If the DVD is NTSC and Region 0 all UK players will be able to play it because Japan is an NTSC country and Region 2.
Not all PAL (UK standard) TVs produce real NTSC but most produce PAL60. The absolute worst thing that could happen is a slight stutter as the 25 frames per second catch up to the 29.97 frames per second encoded on the DVD or the DVD plays balck and white which is practically impossible.
So essentially you are right, an "all-region" i.e. region 0 DVD form the US in NTSC will play fine on most newer equipment in the UK.
