No first play from DVD recorder

Hi all,

I just got some dvd's made using a dvd recorder and have a slight problem with them. I put them in the player and instead of playing the menu it stops and I have to hit play to get it going. Seems there's no first play on the discs. Is there anyway I can rip the discs and add a first play so I can at least get to the menu first.

I tried the tip you gave me but being a noob with this issue I'm confused a bit. When I load the discs into the software it comes up "Warning: There is no First-Play PGC in your VMG! (The First-Play PGC start byte value is 0) A new, blank First-Play PGC will be created." There's a menu there on the disc as I can get to it hitting menu while the disc is playing but can't seem to figure out how to get it to be the first play. Sorry if I'm coming across as a bit dense but never had this issue before.
