  1. I have some video that has some head switching noise at the bottom of the clips when played on the computer. I was told that you can crop that out. I use Ulead Video Studio 10 but I do not see that feature anywhere. Is there another program that will allow me to do this??

    Thanks in advance,

What format of video? For AVI type, I use VirtualDub Mod and the null transform filter to enable the cropping menu. For MPEG, TMPGEnc has a crop feature. Either way, you will have to re-encode the video.

And if it's head switching noise, that's usually in the part of a TV picture that is masked by overscan on a TV. If you plan to watch the video on a TV, you may not need to crop it. If you don't have to crop and re-encode it, you will have less quality loss.

  3. It is for Mpeg. I think they will be playing it on both a TV and a laptop through a projector. Quality is important so it sounds like I am probably better off leaving it the way it is.
