I have recently upgraded to Vista Ultimate and I have noticed that now it does not seem to use both processors. This worked 100% everytime with XP Pro and I have looked at the logs and it tells me I have a Dual Core, but only chooses to use one of them. Any help please will be appreciated.

Perhaps it depends on the program. I have XP Home and one of the first HyperThreading P4s, and when I use QuEnc, it only uses one of the two "cores."
But that's supposed to happen. Some programs will run on a dual-core system, but will not necessarily use both cores. i've even had instances where a program will favor one "core" over the other, throwing most of its weight onto one as opposed to evenly distributing the load. -
It is supposed to use 2 cores as it did with XP every time I run DVD2SVCD.
I have the CPU monitor running in the sidebar,which shows BOTH cores useage and it shows both running @ 100%, but it used to report, when starting, 2 cores and it does not do so now. The other core may be being used by somethin else, as one is being used by SVCD2DVD, if you know what I mean !!!! Also in the LOG it says as follows.....

It states "Number Of Processors: 1" -
It would appear that only one is being used, or only one is being reported as being used. It seems to be tacking a lot longer to do what it used to do. It bit like me I guess LOL
When it started in XP it reported processors = 2
Now it says nothing at all, except in the LOGS, as stated, so I am assuming that it is only using one processor. -
It is down to how Vista infers the processors in a WMI query: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scriptcenter/topics/vista/wmi2.mspx#EYC
I shall add a Setting so you can override what SVCD2DVD deduces.SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

Thanks Chrissyboy, I look forward to getting the revised version etc.
Still great software though, so keep up the great work.
