hi i plan to capture vhs footage to an avi format, and im going to be following the Capturing & DVD encoding guide http://dvdguide.ennik.com/#step4, i am awaiting a new hard drive, so havent started yet but i did a 5 min sample and 5mins took 5GB. now i have a 3 1/2 hour tape to capture so from working it out thats going to be 350GB its going to be HUGE. am i going to be able to reduce that size down to a 4.7GB dvd disc ? and still get a descent picture plus not take like a week to encode ?
i need to capture using an avi cus ive had problems with the picture using other formats
see this for the full prob
