    I just ripped "Man on Fire" using Mac The Ripper and used dvd2one to put it on a dvd-r. The dvd2one process went through "scanning disc" and "processing disc" but then as soon as it started the burning step it failed saying: "Error 1: the device failed to burn...etc." any ideas what the problem is? (it isnt the blank dvd, i tried many)

    what version MTR used?
    what version DTOX (DVD2ONEX) used?
    COMPLETE RIP or MAIN FEATURE?
    Internal Burner or external burner? fw or USB?

    MTR 2.6.6 (i wouldn't even know if there is a newer version)

    Yes, there's an MTR 3.0 beta 14d. See my note above on how to get it.

    Version 2.6.6 hasn't been updated in years and can't handl the newer copy
    protection schemes.
