I've been using ConvertXToDVD for a while now, and i've never really had any problems.

Anyway, i downloaded myself a AVI/XviD file which was about 700mb-750mb. I wanted to watch this on my standalone dvd player, so i used ConvertXToDVD to convert and burn it. I was watching it last night, and towards the end of the movie, maybe a half hour from the end, it started stoping and starting every seconds, it became impossible to watch. It would show a still picture, play another second then show freeze on another picture, etc.

The DVD disc i used was 4.7GB, and i used the setting in ConvertXToDVD, 'burn with 95% of disc' so it doesnt use the outside of the disc. I checked, the actual filesize on the disc is 4.22GB - not sure if this would affect it or what not.

I have used ConvertXToDVD before, for other movies, and it has worked fine. A movie that has worked fine for example, has been 4.1GB (not that much of a difference in filesize).

Any help would be appreciated, Thanx.

Sounds very much like a media issue. Either just a single weak disk, or a brand/manufacturer your system doesn't like/is generally bad.

Get ConvertX to create either a VIDEO_TS fileset or an ISO.
You can test the video in the files with a software DVD player, or VLC, though I doubt that's the problem.
Then burn the files using, eg, ImgBurn. If you use "verify" it will try to read the files back from the DVD and report.

This happens to me as well...

Also I have an issue with this...I am doing it for my Anime episodes for Bleach...

I use FitCD to make the Blocks 2 around...Then I bring in the Episodes that I saved as AVS Files...and ConvertXtoDVD Tells me the size is 3.49 GB because I was told to try less episodes so I tried 7...

Then I check the VIDEO_TS Folder and it is 4.6 GB's...How the heck did it get so big?? I took 7 Episodes which made it 3.49 GB'z in ConvertXtoDVD but when I made it into a VIDEO_TS FIle it makes it a Bigger File WHY???

Will this cause issues?? I burn usually with IMGBurn...I have'nt watched my other DVD I made with 8 episodes yet but when I used ConvertXtoDVD for 9 Episodes it got jumpy but I also burned it at 8x instead of 4x I use TAIYO Yuden Disc 8x DVD-R...

    Please Help.

i too ran inti this problem before, my solution was to set a custom size in convetX at 4000 meg, this keep the files being created from being to large and burned to close to edge of the disk, i also burn at 4x instead of the max disc speed of 8x

since doing this , I have had no more freeze ups at the end of movies
