    Symphonic DVD recorder/VCR model WFR205. Last night I started recording something on tv before I left to run errands. I recorded at 6hr speed - not planning on keeping this - just wanted to watch later. The tape I used had been used once before for the same thing. I did not shut off the TV etc. before I left. The playback is like watching something that was taped in fast forward search speed - super speed. I have no idea how this happened ...

    The VCR has primarily been used in play mode, I can't even remember last time we used it to recorded something.

    No, not to my knowledge. It should playback at the spped it was recorded at.
