  1. I'm want to cut an one hour length DVD folder into 4 pieces:



    so i loaded it on PgcDemux:



    and for some reason the demuxed video stream duration it created was only 29 Minutes!!!



    i also tryed to play the M2V file in mplayerc but i got the same results!


    what did i do wrong?

  2. Probably nothing. Only very few programs can show the duration of an elementary stream correctly. The most 'secure' are mpeg2schnitt or cuttermaran (these count each frame). Faster is dgindex (part of the dgmpegdec package), and even more fast is ChapEditGFD. Please note, that ChapEditGFD assumes clean timecodes (usually ok after demux with pgcdemux) and shows the duration as ntsc non drop frame timecode, even if it is drop frame (this will be fixed in the next version). For PAL the duration is correct.
