    Hola all-
Thank you in advance for what I think is a stupid question with perhaps (hopefully) an obvious answer...
I am trying to record a movie file onto a DVD using Nero 6 & before recording it warns me that it will not record audio in Dolby without the "Multichannel Plugin". I recorded without it, assuming that it would still record the audio track, just not in Dolby. Rather it recorded the audio in Portuguse! It seems the English track is Dolby whereas the other track, the aforementioned Portuguese, is not &, I guess, therefore the one recorded.
Now my simple question is thus:
Is there any way, other than purchasing the plugin (for a whopping $19.95!), to get Nero to recognize & record the English track?
Thanks so, so much for your time & consideration!

You can try to go to Doom9.org and try to download AC3 filter (Free) from there, it may work.
Othervise 19.95 is not so much for real one, since it is licenced.
I have one in TMPGEnc, also not free, and Nero does not give me any worning, so I gues it is using it also. The same AC3 plugin works in DVD lab.

You don't say what your source video is (Divx/Xvid, Windows Media, etc.), so I'd advise that you search the Guides section on how to convert your particular type of video to DVD. You could also just buy the plugin as that would work for what you want to do. I do understand why you don't want to buy it, but it's only $19.95. tinker warned you that the free AC3 program might not work. Looks like it didn't.

If you are just trying to shrink a DVD to fit on a single layer and that is why you are using Nero, you should look into using DVD Shrink instead, which is free.
