I have been tearing my hair out, what I have left anyway, trying to find a dvd player that fits my needs. I have issues with many mainstream players. I cannot deal with moire, jaggies and stair-stepping artifacts in my picture. I am using a SDTV via component video.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Does it do this with a good commercial DVD?

    What is your TV?

    Both pre-recorded dvd's and burned dvd's. TV is a JVC D-Series.

A commercial DVD shouldn't look that bad unless the TV is faulty.

Best connection for that TV is analog component set to interlace.
