MPEG2 PS or TS ??

Hello friends,

From the input mpeg2 file i(Host A) have to demux it into video stream and audio stream, the video streams goes to Host B and audio streams goes to Host C.

Again, Input for Host A -- Mpeg2 file (video + audio)
Output for Host A -- 1) Mpv streaming (video only)
2) mpa streaming (audio only)

On Host B -- Input -- Mpv streaming
Output - video

On Host C -- Input -- Mpa streaming
Output - audio.

Now i am confused which one suits my applicaton MPEG2 - Program streaming or MPEG2 Transport streaming. Any suggestions please ?

Hi,
If you're going to transport this stream over the network or something else, then transport stream is more suitable. If you're going to store this file for future playback, then program stream is more suitable.
