    Hi. Can you change an avi file to iso file ?

    Imgburn can do this in Build mode. Just set the target to be ISO instead of burning directly to a disc.

    question I would ask is why ?

    The question is about the same as
    "can you change water into a bucket?"
    The answer to both is no, but in both cases, you can put the AVI/water into ISO/bucket.
    Another fee alternative (to ImgBurn) is burnatonce, Mastering, Data CD, check the Image file checkbox

    Well, you can freeze water into a block of ice, and carve out a "bucket" (but I wouldn't want to put anything hot into it )

    I'm wondering what the OP wants to do with the ISO image that has an embedded AVI file
