    i have recently downloaded some cartoons for my son only to find they are in swf? format and i can't get winavi to run correctly on vista home premium, any suggestions anyone?

    You might try SUPER. Their site says it will run on Vista. It also lists SWF conversion to other formats. It doesn't surprise me WinAVI doesn't work. It didn't work that well with XP.

    I have used super on XP to convert both swf & flv, mainly flv, i converted to 3g2 and mp4 for use on my wifes phone, found alot of old rock&roll clips on youtube
