I have been out of town for about a week but before I left I tired in vain to get my fresh install of MCE2005 to see the tuner in my ATI card. I know that as long as the TV function in ATI's MMC doesn't work, then MCE will not be able to see that tuner. I have a Vbox installed as well and it doesn't see it either.

I have been thinking about something however.

There is a PCI "Unknown Device" in my Device Manager, but its not the ATI card or the VBox HD tuner. I had a modem on here that I never have used since I got this PC almost 4 years ago.

Could that be causing my problems with ATI TV not working???

Anyway, I have installed the latest Cat drivers, WDM drivers and MMC 9.16, but ATI TV refuses to intialize.

I have tired installing them in the order suggested on Rage 3D and the bums at "The Green Button" are basically no help at all.

Since this is the forum I have gotten my answers on more often than NOT, I have come here seekings your help...

In the meantime I have considered buying another hardware based tuner card and get that working in MCE.

But I added the Akimbo client to MCE and I suppose than can hold me over until I here back from ATI Tech Support on Monday I hope.

Or if you guys can provide some answers I haven't tried yet.

I had to use the Kram driver mod in order for MCE to see the AIW card and it works!

ATI TV won't work, but if Studio 8 can see it then I don't care. I'll be using that to transfer my VHS collection to the hard drive.

    Just thought I would update
